Sales & Deal Desk Template
A queue for inbound leads, quote requests, renewals and pricing approvals: the sales work that arrives by email rather than through a CRM.
Free for 6 months · No credit card · Live in about 5 minutes
Plenty of sales work never touches a CRM. Someone emails asking for pricing, a renewal question arrives from an existing customer, a quote needs a discount signed off. That traffic usually lands in a shared inbox and competes with everything else in it.
This template treats those as a queue with a pipeline shape. The statuses follow a deal rather than a support ticket, and the categories separate new demand from renewals and internal approvals.
Who it’s for
Small sales teams, founders handling their own inbound, and anyone running quote or pricing approvals by email rather than through a dedicated CRM stage.
What it fixes
- Inbound enquiries get buried under support email in a shared inbox
- Nobody owns a lead explicitly, so follow-up depends on whoever remembers
- Renewals arrive with no advance warning and are handled reactively
- Discount and pricing approvals happen in side conversations with no record
What you get, preconfigured
Pick this template at signup and the workspace arrives set up like this. Everything below can be renamed or removed afterwards.
The 5-stage workflow
New lead is untouched demand. Qualifying is where you work out fit. Quote sent and Awaiting customer separate your work from theirs, which is the distinction that makes a follow-up list meaningful. Awaiting customer is your chase list. Closed ends it either way, with the Lost tag recording the outcome.
6 ticket categories

- “Thanks for getting in touch”
- “Quote attached”
- “Renewal coming up”
Each one is a full draft you edit, not a title. Placeholders fill in the requester’s name automatically.
Example tickets included

Setting it up
- 1Create a workspace. No credit card, no sales call.
- 2Pick the Sales & Deal Desk template. Statuses, categories, saved replies and example tickets are applied immediately.
- 3Connect the mailbox those requests already arrive at, by OAuth for Outlook, Gmail or Zoho, or by email and password for any other provider.
- 4Invite your team. Pricing is flat per workspace, so adding people costs nothing extra.
You can add another template later: a workspace can run several departments side by side under the same flat price.
Questions
Is this a replacement for a CRM?+
No. A CRM manages relationships, pipeline value and forecasting over time. This manages inbound requests that arrive as email and need an owner and a response. Teams commonly run both, using this for the request traffic and a CRM for the pipeline itself.
Why use a ticketing queue for sales enquiries?+
Mainly for ownership and response time. An inbound enquiry that nobody explicitly owns is the one that gets answered late, and response speed matters more for inbound sales than for most support work.
Can sales run alongside our support queue?+
Yes. Each template gets its own statuses, tags and saved replies inside the same workspace, so sales enquiries and support requests stay separate queues under one flat price.
